P31 Patrol Boat

One of the dive sites we run here in Malta — here's the story behind it, the depth and access, and what it takes to dive it properly.

The Site

The P31 is a former patrol boat — sister to the P29 — scuttled in the shallows of Comino's Blue Lagoon in 2009. She sits upright and intact at around 20m in beautifully clear, bright water, which makes her a superb first wreck and a brilliant training platform. Easy, photogenic and good fun, with the famous turquoise of the Blue Lagoon overhead.
