Fungus Rock guards the entrance to Dwejra Bay on Gozo's west coast, and the diving around it is dramatic — steep walls and big tumbled boulders dropping into clear, deep water, with shoals working the edges. It's an atmospheric, slightly wild-feeling site away from the busier spots, and it rewards divers who like big underwater scenery. The depth is there if you want it.
